Led by Jamil Sheriff who was described in The Times as ‘an excellent northern pianist who brings together a range of classic, contemporary, and urban approaches’, this is a swinging and joyful affair that promises to remind you of all your favourite musicians. But expect a few twists along the way – the group do things their own way!

Sowerby Bridge Fire and Water and the Puzzle Hall Inn proudly present…

Lines of Silence hail from Todmorden, West Yorkshire by way of Manchester, and have been making Krautrock-influenced music for a number of years.

Now a core duo of David Little (guitar, synths and electronics) and Manchester experimental music legend Dave Clarkson (synths, electronics), LOS shows are unpredictable and often involve a fair amount of improvisation, but expect a brew of motorik jams, electronic experimentalism and psychedelic guitar explosions. Dave Clarkson and LOSRND will also be performing some solo material.

Music from 9pm. Free Entry, donations towards events always welcome.

The Richard Royle Band

Richard returns to the Puzzle.

Richard Royle is a Halifax based guitarist and vocalist specialising in bottle neck slide guitar. As a multi instrumentalist Richard has performed with various bands and acts locally but now has turned his attention to performing his original material.

A mix of folk, blues, soul and jazz his music centres around intricate guitar work which comprises bass, rhythm and lead parts all wrapped up in one guitar.

With inspiration coming from greats such as Ry Cooder, Sam Cooke, Robert Johnson and many more Richard’s music is raw, honest and genuine.
