Shrub + Jeanpool

May 22 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Shrub are a jangly art-pop group from Sheffield/Bristol who are determined to take you on a meandering jazzy tour of the universe from the vastness of post-apocalyptic galaxies, back down to your kitchen to pay homage to the profound comfort of a fruit bowl bursting with colour. Playful and whimsically psychedelic yet also unafraid to latch on to a funky groove imbued with the spirit of Tropicalia these art-pop boffins will have you bopping.
“Their lush vocal harmonies and gleeful sax solos will envelop you in a bubble of otherworldly delights, leaving you filled with a warm glow.” – Sydney and Matilda
Jeanpool are a four piece band from Leeds composed of women and gender non conforming musicians that harnesses heartfelt performances and catchy songwriting tackling themes of womanhood, queer love and northern life. Sonically they can range fron the bruised and tender to the stirringly anthemic and take influence from alt-rock, post-punk, and witty indie. Since the band started in 2025 they have been performing consistently and developing their presence in the Leeds music scene and hope to find more people they can pull into their musical world. So get on your finest double denim and get on down to the joyous indie party that is Jeanpool!
“A new, upcoming indie rock band from Leeds delivering raw, authentic performances with songs that just sound classic already” – Data Thistle
