Frank Hurricane + Slo Blome
September 15 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

FRANK HURRICANE is a spiritual blues and folk musician/storyteller located in North Carolina. He has been a traveller in the underground and DIY scene for well over a decade touring across the world performing with many legends and hiking thousands of miles of trails in the mountains (PBS recently made an Emmy-Nominated documentary about his musical journey). His joyous music has the freewheeling spirit of 60’s psychedelia and freak folk channeled through a deep love of the roots of American folk, country and blues.
“Every song unfolds on a bed of strums, sonorous harmonies, and the kind of stoop-front charm that would make Frank the storyteller of any great neighborhood” – Raven sings the blues
“Hurricane’s artistic ability and downright playful prowess are spellbinding” – The self portrait gospel
Huddersfield’s SLO BLOME reimagine folk with fearless invention and a darkly bewitching power all of their own. Rooted in tradition yet unbound by it, their sound soars on the strength of powerful vocals telling exciting fables supported by a restless folk spirit.
