Chris Martin @ The Puzzle – Puzzle Hall Inn

We like our music live at the Puzzle, but when premier league promoters SJM Concerts got in touch via our friends at Independent Venue Week and asked if they could put on a gig, a secret gig, this was something new. There was some discussion back and forth as we already had acts booked in and the ‘secret artist’ didn’t want to disturb anyone else’s plans. August 14th was set, and on the day the sun was out and suspiciously familiar equipment equipment began to arrive. Could it be? Yes it could, and eventually Chris Martin arrived on his pushbike! Chris is a busy fella and we have no idea why he chose to play at the Puzzle before doing ten sold out shows at Wembley. Perhaps he just wanted to play for an audience that wasn’t miles away and he could chat to between songs? Whatever the reason he certainly seemed to enjoy himself and the audience certainly did! His set list is shown further down the page along with some photos and videos of the show. What can we say but thank you Chris for a fabulous evening, come again when you can stop!
