SUMMARY:Painting + Moose Wrench
DESCRIPTION:PAINTING is a Berlin-based trio creating brilliantly strange music that sits somewhere between Avant Pop\, Synth Kraut\, and Prog Punk. Techno beats rub shoulders with psychedelic free-jazz interludes\, art-pop with a wave foundation is grounded by lively call-and-response vocals. With layers of synthesizers\, propulsive drums\, and angular melodies\, their sound is both danceable and delightfully unpredictable. Known for their intense and captivating live performances\, PAINTING has built a strong reputation across Europe’s independent music scenes and now you have a chance to see what all the fuss is about for yourselves!\n‘The best new band currently in the German pop avant-garde is the Berlin trio Painting.’ – Rolling Stone\n‘Defiant\, colourful\, irresistible’ – Musikexpress\nhttps://paintingband.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://painting-band.com/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/@painting_band\nhttps://www.facebook.com/painting.band/\n\n\nMOOSE WRENCH are an avant-garde power trio from Leeds. Their sound is best described as the love child of Cardiacs and Mr. Bungle\, raised by Primus and Ween. Live they are driven by a chaotic\, heavily distorted keytar powered along by an intense post-punk rhythm section. Their music is technically complex\, theatrical\, and a bit unhinged. In other words just the kind of thing we enjoy at The Puzzle.\n‘Moose Wrench are great. The fun comes from how naturally all of the wrong pieces seem to fit together’ – Pitch Perfect\n‘Colourful\, chaotic and just a little bit unhinged\, in the best possible way’ – RGM Music\nhttps://www.moosewrench.co.uk/\nhttps://moosewrench.bandcamp.com/album/not-dead-yet\nhttps://www.facebook.com/moose.wrench.9/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/@moosewrench9738

His work over the years includes collaborations with jazz musicians such as Andy Sheppard\, Dennis Rollins and Omar Puente. In his role of Music Director for example\, he worked with the Vuvuzela Orchestra\, (Johannesburg)\, the Children’s International Festival\, (Singapore)\, and Welfare State International. Last\, but most certainly not least\, were his early collaborations with the seminal folk band Kitsyke Will and the New Victory Band. \nSo\, what to expect? A wonderful melange of music\, won’t be far off the mark! \nAdmission free\, collection taken towards the band’s fee. \nPlease be generous if you can.

SUMMARY:Heavenphetamine + Protem
DESCRIPTION:Japanese Psych Punk Band from Tokyo. Since 2021 based in Tbilisi. \nInfluenced by 60- 70’s psychedelic rock\, 80’s Post Punk and Acid house mainly but is able to feel the Japanese musical element as spice like “wasabi”. \nProtem Stefan B has been producing electronic music on and off for a number of years. Under the moniker of Protogonos he has regularly produced cinematic and ambient soundscapes – some of which have been released on CD by DiN records. Recently he has returned to his love of rhythmical compositions but under the alter ego of Protem. In doing so\, he found himself looking backward in time to his personal recollections of local people\, places and events. So\, he has decided (or been persuaded) to showcase these studio tracks from the album he released last year entitled ‘From Cradle To Rave’. The instrumental pieces are a musical fusion inspired by Kraftwerk and Philip Glass\, as well as the early electronic dance scene of the nineties.

SUMMARY:The Fabulous Mustard Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Otley’s finest\, THE FABULOUS MUSTARD BROTHERS are Nick Wood\, Richard Currie\, Rory McLeish and Ryan Griffiths. They live up to their name creating finely crafted folk pop gems (Think a more folky Crowded House or a rootsy Travis with the chops of Dire Straits.) about the vicissitudes of modern life and the weather (mostly rain). Pop melodies with an Americana/Roots twist to capture your heart.\nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKeYojHJ85h-EsQRyqyw7Hg\nhttps://www.facebook.com/…/The…/100089981340366/

SUMMARY:Blue Room Radio
DESCRIPTION:Blue Room Radio is a midweek session\, every second Wednesday of the month\, hosted by Eurodaddy to combat those cold evenings drawing in. Good records\, a few strange turns.\nExpect anything from Grace Jones and Prince to Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem. There’ll be Funk\, disco\, house\, post-punk\, alternative\, hip-hop\, oddball pop\, forgotten records and the occasional massive tune.\nThere’ll also be pints and pizza via questionable competitions and Eurodaddy’s Hot Shower (definitely not ripping off ‘Alan’s Deep Bath’): a few minutes of running water and something slow and beautiful. You can close your eyes if you like. Or stare directly at me throughout. Both are equally unsettling.\nCome down\, have a drink\, request something\, join in or sit quietly and judge. Dance if you want. Don’t if you don’t. Blue Room Radio. Familiar favourites\, deeper cuts and whatever else feels right on the night.

SUMMARY:Lucy Kitchen + E.R. Thorpe + Official Claire (USA)
DESCRIPTION:Three distinctive voices in contemporary British and US songwriting come together for an intimate afternoon of folk\, Americana and atmospheric storytelling.\nHampshire-based LUCY KITCHEN combines the warmth of classic 1970s songwriting (think Nick Drake or Vashti Bunyan) with songs shaped by nature\, grief and transformation. Her acclaimed third album\, In the Low Light\, has established her as a quietly compelling voice in modern folk.\n‘Utterly beguiling’ – Clash Magazine\n‘A walk on the darker side of folk that gives Beth Gibbons a run for her money.’ – Louder Than War\n‘Outrageously beautiful’ – Joyzine\nhttps://www.lucykitchen.com/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/LucyKitchenMusic/\nhttps://lucykitchen.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/@LucyKitchenMusic\nNottinghamshire songwriter and visual artist E.R. THORPE‘s music sounds at once ancient and comntemporary bringing to mind the likes of Beth Orton\, Aldous Harding or PJ Harvey. Her darkly\, cinematic music combines unusual finger-picked guitar with vivid\, emotionally charged storytelling and has received strong support from BBC Radio 6 Music.\n‘Her voice can be as sweet as a young girl or burn with a quiet fire.’ – Truth & Lies Music\n‘She creates a fantastical atmosphere’ – Left Lion\nhttps://erthorpe.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/@erthorpemusic\nhttps://www.facebook.com/erthorpemusic/\nChicago singer-songwriter Official Claire combines laid-back indie rock with whispery folk. Her witty lyrics tackle the trails of romantic life with a wry charm that combines sensitivity and straight talk whilst the music itself can be both dreamily forlorn and a groovy good time.\n“She has a rock and roll grit with dreamy ambiance that appeals across genres and generations.” – Smiling Politely\n“Her songs possess deep wit\, mischief\, and beautiful hooks” – Solid Sound\nhttps://www.officialclairemusic.com/\nhttps://officialclaire.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.instagram.com/officialclairemusic/
