SUMMARY:Ruckus Rocks 2
DESCRIPTION:Get your stomping boots on and be ready to pogo the night away as Ruckus Rocks festival returns with more of the finest indie punk around. The following artists will be taking part :\nSheffield power trio SHATTERED COGS have a lean stripped down sound which mixes hardcore punk/garage rock with traces of C86 indie jangle. With songs about the daily struggles of working class life their music is a direct\, unpretentious treat.\nhttps://shatteredcogs03.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=61557809237589\nhttps://www.instagram.com/shatteredcogs_band/\n“Shattered Cogs\, a band that takes the concept of hard-hitting to a whole new level with jagged rhythms\, mind-bending guitar work\, and enough edge to cut through steel.” – Bands In Town\n\nINDIGNATION MEETING are train-mad punks from Leeds who have the scrappy melodic charm and wit of Half Man- Half Biscuit and the raw and ragged power of The Mekons. Lead by teenage drummer/singer Peter who is ably assisted by the rest of the crew including his Dad Michael on guitar\, Hugo on bass\, and Keith\, Heather and Sally often along for the ride. It’s time to get off the rails!\nhttps://indignationmeeting.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/IndignationMeeting/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCkGXqBGAYxdNt3PFGadE1w\n“Old school punk which is clever\, catchy and really quite unlike anything you’ll have heard by anyone else.” – Devolution\n“a refreshing\, total joy” – God is in the TV\n\nDIVORCE FINANCE‘s modernist take on psychobilly is both filthy and fun with their sleazy grooves taking on the horrors and hypocrisies of the modern world with an assured absurdist eye. Theatrically entertaining yet with vicious power they may be Leed’s underground scene’s best kept secret.\nhttps://divorcefinance.bandcamp.com/\nhttps://www.instagram.com/divorcefinance/\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-SwKGedwJ8\n“A delightful blend of thrusting lounge music for the weirdos outside of society\, like the soundtrack to a bizarre David Lynchian film yet to be written.” – Joyzine\n“Snarling\, thought-provoking\, and hilarious” – Far Out Magazine\n\nBradford’s MELLON COLLIES create a power-driving sound which mixes big catchy riffs and passionate vocals with a winning streak of playful humour which channels the spirit of X Ray Spex and Amyl & The Sniffers.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61571716787462#\nhttps://www.instagram.com/melloncolliesuk/\nhttps://mellon-collies.bandcamp.com/\n\nTHE BRICKS are a hard hitting DIY minded garage rock/post punk band from York. With their unique mix of influences blending the angular grooves of Fugazi and Gang of Four with the abrasive edge of Big Black and the hooks of classic 70’s FM rock.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/thebricksbandyork/\nhttps://www.instagram.com/_thebricksband_/\n“They’ve a sound of their own and it’s really cool” – Bardo Burner\n\nGEVAUDAN DOGS is the brainchild of Leeds based folk musician\, Vince Cayo. With his three comrades in tow the band mix the relentless urgency of punk with surf twang and folk storytelling to create an energetic and impactful sound reminiscent of Stiff Little Fingers and The Clash in their 70’s pomp.\nhttps://gevaudandogs.com/about\nhttps://www.facebook.com/…/Gevaudan-Dogs/61550867619675/\nhttps://gevaudandogs.bandcamp.com/\n“A punk sound that takes it all the way back to the bones of why we love it so much.” – The Punk Site\n“Gevaudan Dogs are a class act with a sound of their own.” -Vive Le Rock
