DESCRIPTION:8.15pm start – Free admission\, Collection towards the band taken; Please be generous if you can…\nCrooked Steps\nLaydeez n Genl’e men\, for your pleasure\, we’re featuring a brand new band put together by one of Jazz Live!’s favourite’s – bassist Paul Baxter. The trio will be performing music inspired by\, amongst others\, Sound Garden\, Acoustic Ladyland\, Tom Waits\, Ornette Coleman….et al.\nTom Townsend\, drumsPete Williams\, tenor saxophone\,Paul Baxter\, electric & double bass\nThe music will be coalescing in a jazz-rock manifestation\, reminiscent of Back Door but with a few extra bits and pieces!\nTrains:If you’re travelling towards Halifax / Bradford / Leeds\, the last train leaves Sowerby Bridge at 00.03.\nIf you’re travelling up the Calder Valley\, and onwards to Manchester\, the last train leaves Sowerby Bridge at 23.22.\nPlease allow 15 minutes to walk from the pub to the station\, and please check\, on the day of travel\, that the times have not changed\, or that strike actions are being planned.\nBus:There’s a 579 bus to Halifax that leaves Station Road at 23.48\, just a few minutes’ walk from the Pub\, however\, give yourself plenty of time\, as it’s the last bus\, it can be pretty sharp in setting off.
