DESCRIPTION:The First Thursday of each month\, the Puzzle Hall is home to LORE. These regular sessions usually feature a booked folk act\, doing two sets; floor spots for songs or tunes from the audience; and sometimes a few songs from a compere. They are free to attend\, but donations for the booked performers are welcomed.\nThis month we welcome – TRITOR\nTritor\, a medieval trancey groovy dreamy-weamy medievally droney tapestry. With a vocal\, bagpipe\, hurdy gurdy\, percussion sound once likened to bathing in warm plums…\nFor those who may be unsure of the public transport situations\, here are some useful details…\nTrains: If you’re travelling towards Halifax / Bradford / Leeds\, the last train leaves Sowerby Bridge at 00.05.If you’re travelling up the Calder Valley\, and onwards to Manchester\, the last train leaves Sowerby Bridge at 23.23.Please allow 15 minutes to walk from the pub to the station\, and please check\, on the day of travel\,that the times have not changed\, or that strike actions are being planned.\nBus: There’s a 579 bus to Halifax that leaves Station Road at 23.48\, just a few minutes’ walk from the Pub\, however\, give yourself plenty of time\, as it’s the last bus\, it can be pretty sharp in setting off.
